On the Road Again.

Friday morning was both beautiful and dreadful.

It was the day we started the journey home.

We had such an incredible time on our trip, it was truly hard to leave.
To ease the pain, we decided to have some breakfast at Putah Creek Cafe (featured on Diners Drive-ins and Dives....and rightfully so this time).
It was divine.

We packed up the car and said our goodbyes.
It was hard.
The kids asked "where's Vera" a couple times a day for the next week.
That woman really nows how to leave a good impression.

Vera....thank you for an incredible week.
You are a wonderful inspiration to us and such a breath of fresh air.
Thank you for making our vacation bright and spoiling us rotten.
We love you.

We drove half way home and stopped for the night for a thrilling stay in Winnemucca, NV.
We stopped the next day in Battle Mountain for visit Alma's brother Cory and his wife Melissa and the kids. The kids ran around like wild things while the adults caught up. The kids were exuding pent up energy and fulling enjoying seeing their cousins. They were nice and worn out for the remainder of the drive to SLC.

And we made it home in one piece, just in time for the ward Trunk or Treat.
Well, almost in one piece.
I give you "The Roadside Pee-er".

That night we all crashed into bed, exhausted from the adventures of our adventures and dreaming happily of California, all snug in our beds.
What a wonderful ending to a wonderful vacation.

P.S. I just realized how much I post about food. Ah geez....
