The Run-Down

So, I haven't blogged in...oh...a month.
Really???

Really.

It's been a busy busy 4 weeks with many unexpected events and many adventures.
So, here is a quick summary of November and part of December.

November 11-14....I went to Disneyland. Sort of.
Some of my dearest friends ventured to the happiest place on earth after taking their RNC exams.
I was unable to go this year, so I sent "flat Matti" instead.
Yes.
Flat Matti.

Flat Matti held up pretty good until she went on The Haunted Mansion...then my head fell off.

Yes....my flat Matti head is now a permanent part of the Haunted Mansion Nightmare Before Christmas ride.
I guess if you're going to go...that's the best way...right along Jack Skellington.
Luckily, my gals are crafty and secret plastic surgeons...and the re-invented my head.

My ears are a little bigger...but I think they did good.
And they even fed me a churro....they must really like me.

Thanksgiving.
We spent Thanksgiving in Salt Lake this year.
As usual, it was filled with lots of food, lots of family...and this:

Yes, leave it to my brother Kyle to bring out some old school polyester pants to the dinner table.

Chocolates.
195 boxes to be exact.

I fun-filled day of dipping and wrapping with my mother, aunts and grandmother.
I may have had chocolate for every meal.
I also ate more than a jar of maraschino cherries....shhh...don't tell anybody.

Heart Attack

My dad had a minor heart attack.
He is ok.....thank goodness.
He happened to be home, and my mom was home as well.
The whole situation turned out to be the absolute best case scenario.
And while I about had a heart attack thinking about what could have happened instead, I'm eternally grateful that he is here, and ok, and doing well.
PS...isn't my dad a handsome fella? Him and his "no shave November" beard (pic by my brother Kyle).

Santa Run
The first weekend in December, we did the Santa Run.
Me, Alma, my father in law, sister in law, brother in law, and nephew.
We ran in...you guessed it....santa suits.
It. Was. Awesome.

The kids had a great time watching and hanging out together. There was milk, cookies and hot chocolate at the finish.
Oh yes...and dinner at Chuck0-o-Rama afterwards.
True Story.
PS...running in a santa suit is hot....on all levels.

So, caught up.
Need a re-cap?
Beheaded at disneyland while sitting in SLC; eating turkey next to a brother in polyester pants, ate chocolate for 12 hrs straight, heart attack about heart attacks, santa suits are my new running attire for the month of December.

Whew.
Now...where are those chocolates....
